Well…. this has been quite a day, especially concerning Nasri and his contract situation; his comments have caused widespread anger and shock for fellow Gooners, and now his future as a Gunner is uncertain. Of course, there is plenty of interesting transfer news, gossip, rumors, speculation concerning the Gunners. So without further ado, here is the Arsenal Transfer News Roundup.

Nasri unsure over Arsenal future

Contract rebel Samir Nasri has angered many Gooners around the world, with his comments about his contract situation. Nasri stated that he “doesn’t know if he’ll sign a new contract” and read this, is considering a move to Manchester United if the “offer is concrete”. Well, I understand that Nasri is a key player and was one of the best players in the Premier League last season. He deserves a pay rise, but to be on par with Cesc Fabregas and holding the club to ransom. He had one good season, ONE! Fabregas gave us 8 excellent and consistent seasons and Nasri wants to have the same salary as he?! Even having the audacity to consider an offer from our fiercest rivals, just ridiculous and greedy. If he doesn’t accept signing a new contract, then he should leave, I don’t want to see him go, but no player is bigger than the club.

More Nasri Speculation

It looks like Spanish side Real Madrid, are going to try and take advantage of the contract dispute, by making an offer of around 10 million pounds for the French international. I believe that this offer is too low, yes, I know he has one year left, but I think if he were to be sold, it would be in the 15-20 million pound range.

Bacrelona will offer rising star as makeweight in Fabregas deal

Fabregas involved in a makeweight deal with……

Yes, I know, more Fabregas to Barcelona speculation, but seriously a day won’t be complete without more gossip about this “potential” deal. Anyways, reports are stating that Barcelona will offer their rising star, Thiago Alcantara, as a makeweight in a swap deal worth 50 million pounds. Thiago is a very talented playmaker, with a bright future ahead of him, he’s got plenty of skill, poise, creativity, and passing range. He might not be a bad replacement for Fabregas, but I still don’t want to see Fabregas go.

Arsenal interested in Barcelona’s Bojan Krkic

Another Barcelona link, Arsenal is fighting with Liverpool for Barcelona’s unwanted young forward, Bojan Krkic. To be honest, I’m not excited about this link. Bojan is a good player, but he hasn’t developed to the player he’s supposed to be and with a reported value of 17 million pounds, he’s not worth that amount and is a risky signing. He’s a player short on confidence and I doubt that he’s the physique to cope with the physical demands of the Premier League.

Here’s a short video, displaying Bojan’s talents:

Arsenal interested in Ex-Gunner Free Agent Larsson

This is a shocker! There are reports stating that Wenger is interested in bringing back a former Gunner, Sebastain Larsson, who left his club Birmingham City and is now looking for a new club. Ok, he might be available on a free, but we have plenty of midfielders at the club and I doubt that he’s going to be a first team regular, but as a squad player, he might be useful as he’s usually a reliable player who gives solid, but not great performances. I am not really excited by this link, but if he can accept being a squad player, then what the heck? Though, I doubt that.

Eboue interesting QPR

Will Eboue get involved as a makeweight in a deal with…..
Several reports are stating that Emmanuel Eboue is interesting, recently promoted and Championship winners, Queen Park Rangers. The reports are suggesting that Wenger wants him as a makeweight for a potential deal with QPR star, Adel Taarabt. Warnock reportedly wants Eboue and believes that he could get his man, if he lets Taarabt leave. I like Eboue, I always have, his passion, his spirit, I’ve always liked him. But, Eboue is a utility player who doesn’t play regularly and I believe that he should be playing regular football because he deserves to. I don’t want to see him go, but if he has the chance then he should take it and Taarabt is a talented player, even though I have doubts about his attitude ( the way he walked out on Morocco was disgraceful).

What do you think? What are your opinions on the Nasri situation? Should Fabregas get sold? What are your opinions on Taarabt, Larsson, Bojan and Thiago? Do you want Eboue to leave? Please share your thoughts and opinions.

Cheers and take care,
