[VIDEO] TRANSFER TARGET: 5 Things To Know About Ryad Boudebouz

By on June 29, 2011

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Ryad Boudebouz, here’s the quote:

The Liverpool interest is solid. There has been contact but we have to take our time, meet the chairman and remain calm. I want to sit down and discuses things when we return for pre-season training. If there is an important offer, we will not be able to turn it down. I don’t wish to leave Sochaux, but if there is an offer on the table, I will think about it.”

Boudebouz told L’Est Republicain

1. He’s an Attacking Midfielder

8 goals in 40 appearances is a pretty decent return for a midfielder in any league. He plays where Messi plays for Argentina, and he’s your number 10 player, meaning that he enjoys playing, as the term goes ‘in the hole’ or in other words, space between the midfielders and the strikers.

2. He Chose Algeria over France

In terms of blood relations, he generally has the same family heritage as football icons Zinedine Zidane and Arsenal’s winger/midfielder Samir Nasri.

3. He’s 21 Years Old

One of the reasons why Comolli has encouraged the signing of this Algerian player is because he is of a tender age of only 21 years old, and has deemed the midfielder as one for the future. Being 21, he goes down well with Liverpool’s new transfer policy, which is snapping up youths and preparing for the future.

4. He’s been with Sochaux for 3 Seasons

Boudebouz has formed a good relationship with him and the fans of Ligue 1 club Sochaux after breaking onto the scene 4 years ago as a 17 year old talent. He doesn’t score too many goals, but he has the skill to get past an opponent and a good eye for a pass.

He’s Worth 14.5 million, whatt!?

For all that, look here:

Boudebouz is a good bet. I’m confident that he’ll do well regardless of which team he plays for. It’ll be great if LFC can sign him.
