Life After Fabregas & Nasri: Who I Think Le Boss Should Buy

Anyway you look at the situation, it is all gloom and doom as Gunner fans cannot contemplate what life at Arsenal would look like, should want away duo of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri walk through the doors of Arsenal.

But as it is now, I can see a way Wenger can turn around the fortune of the club by strengthening his squad and at the same time still, stay true to his philosophy of not paying extravagantly for players. Definitely, the last 6 years have been barren and extremely difficult, but Wenger might just do himself some good by splashing a bit of the cash for re-enforcement.

Here are some acquisitions and changes the gaffer really needs to put into effect and still maintains his frugal-managerial acumen:

Goalkeepers:

The goalkeeping department look settled with Sczeczny as no. 1, Fabiansky as 2nd choice while the coming from loan,  Mannone as 3rd choice.

Defence:

The defence department needs more attention. To make things worse, Clichy is now confirmed a Manchester City player. With this, a capable replacement in Jose Enrique of Newcastle must be bought in; likewise the Gary Cahill and Chris Samba deals which are still in progress should be wrapped up quickly to complement the efforts of Thomas Vermalean and the improved Johan Djourou.

Midfield:

Coming to the midfield, there’s a certain Japanese midfielder Ryo Miyachi (if he can get a work permit), who apparently was nicknamed ‘Ryodinho’ during his loan spell in Holland after comparism to Ronaldinho. There is the Ligue 1 player of the year, Eden Hazard, who has loads of potential, and was a vital figure in Lille winning the Ligue 1 for the first time in 50 years. Has been linked with Arsenal for the past two years; this might just be the time to bring him to the Emirates as a better replacement for Nasri.

Relegated West Ham player Scott Parker, who is available on the cheap is another name on my mind as a good replacement for Denilson and alongside Jack Wilshere, they could replicate the England midfield for the next few years. Valencia is in a financial crisis having lost Da Silva and David Villa last summer. They are still not stable financially, a good deal will tempt them into selling Juan Mata to Arsenal incase Cesc forces his way out.

Strikers:

Finally the final third, Gervinho has been proven as a provider and scorer of great goals, he’s got possibilities in an Arsenal shirt. The Ivorian player of the year can also play on the right, incase Theo Walcott continues to disappoint. There you have a midfielder, winger and proven striker, for the price of one player. Samuel Eto’o has made his desire to play in England open, I’m certain he won’t cost much taking his age into consideration. Wenger can offer him a 2 year deal.  In Eto’o, you have a born scorer to take the goal burden off Robin van Persie’s shoulder.

There you have much improved but cost-effective Arsenal team capable of winning tittles. Done my part, over to Le Prof.
