“Arsenal Are Interested In Me And This Is A Club I Have Always Liked”

Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega has admitted that Arsenal are monitoring his progress.

The Columbian international is was away on international duty at the Copa American when he admitted Arsenal are amongst several clubs interested in signing him.

“Arsenal are interested in me and this is a club I have always liked,” he told reporters in Argentina.

“There are many teams interested, it’s true. Villarreal, Sevilla, Arsenal also have some interest, Everton of England.”

However, despite the speculation linking him with a move away from the club the 25-year old appears very happy at the DW Stadium.

“There is a lot of speculation but my future at this moment is at Wigan.

“I have signed for one more year in Wigan but if the club decides on my sale that is no problem if the subject is positive for all parties.”

If it’s true, it’s called poor work ethic. He’s at the Copa America now, why does he even bother to talk about a transfer? It’s unprofessional.

If we signed Rodallega, it would be the clearest sign yet that we’ve become a mid-table club.

To be fair to Rodagella, he is a very talented player. Signing a player from a middle table team does not mean that you become a middle table team yourself. It only means that you are improving your squad and given chances, Rodagella can excel.

So signing a player from a lower level team means we’re a mid-table club? Interesting. Most players who play for top sides come from lower level teams. That’s why there’s a transfer window.

Rodallega is very underrated – he scores a lot of goals – many of them spectacular – for a side that isn’t particularly great. In a team that creates thousands of chances, he might get around 15 goals.

That being said, I don’t believe that we’re interested in him.

Please try and use correct grammar so we can at least comprehend what point you are attempting to make. It’s like trying to decipher the morse code with some of your typing. @mandabo, what?!?!?!?!?!
