Arsenal, Liverpool & Tottenham Miss Out On £20m Ace

Juan Mata, who is a reported target for Premiership trio Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, is staying at Valencia.

The talented winger had been linked with a £20million move to the Premiership, but Valencia chairman Manuel Llorente was quick to quash any speculation linking his star player with a move away from the club.

“We have no intention of selling him and we have not received any formal offers for the player,” Llorente told Superdeporte.

“The news that has appeared in the papers is nothing more than speculation – Juan Mata is not for sale.”

The gifted attacker was instrumental to the Spanish Under 21 team that was victorious in Denmark in the recent European Championship and was apart of the squad that won the 2010 World Cup.

The wide man has been linked with a move away from the club previously with Real Madrid interested in the player, but such a move has failed to materialise with Valencia adamant that Mata will not be sold.
