Spurs Skipper Backs Levy Stance On Luka Modric Saga

Tottenham captain Michael Dawson has backed chairman Daniel Levy over his stance with Luka Modric.

The Croatian international has been subject to two bids from Chelsea this summer with reports suggesting the Blues are preparing a third. But, the former Nottingham Forest ace hopes Modric will remain at White Hart Lane next season. Centre-back Dawson told the Daily Star Sunday:

“From a team’s point of view you want to keep your best players and the chairman’ said he’s going to keep him, so that’s great for the club.

“We are all friends with Luka, we have got great team spirit and we want to keep that together. The chairman has come out and said no one is for sale so that’s great.”
