Ferguson: No More Signings

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson claims he is not in the market to replace the retired Paul Scholes.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson claims he is not in the market to replace the retired Paul Scholes.

United have already spent heavily this summer recruiting the likes of Ashley Young, Phil Jones and David de Gea, and the Champions had been heavily linked with move with for Samir Nasri of Arsenal and Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder.

The Scot had admitted to being a fan of the duo but claimed a move for Nasri was off and Sneijder would be “difficult” to bring to Old Trafford. But the United chief remains confident his side has enough quality to cope with the loss of their former talisman:

“We are always looking for good quality players,” said Ferguson.

“We started the season with the players we have and I am satisfied with that.

“We are at the moment but we are looking at combinations of central midfielders now at the club.”
