Future Is Bright At Stamford Bridge

Frank Lampard is pleased to see the devoplement of Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran and believes the 18-year old is only going to get better.

Chelsea boss Andre Villa-Boas has paid tribute to the up and coming stars at Stamford Bridge. The 33-year old manager paid special attention to rising star Josh McEachran who was referred to as an “amazing talent”.

Billy Clifford, Nathaniel Chalobah, Patrick van Aanholt and Ryan Bertrand also received special praise from the young manager.

“Without focusing on Josh, Josh is an amazing British talent for the future, as is Chalobah, as is Billy Clifford and Jamal, he will be able to go on a run like Patrick and Ryan, with plenty of experience in the Premiership or the Championship. Josh has played in the Champions League and so it is all positive for the young boys that we have,” Villas-Boas told chelseafc.com.

“Josh just has to be competitive and show he is the best, like all the others, and in the end we make choices on who is performing better and helping the collective to perform. When it gets to the season the choices will be done like that and with the injuries you might have, there will be plenty of opportunities for everybody, but they must be able to compete to be in the starting 11.”

Frank Lampard is also pleased to see the devoplement of Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran and believes the 18-year old is only going to get better:

“Josh did very well for the third goal. He has great ability and he is going to get better and better,” Lampard told chelseafc.com.

It seems the future is looking bright at Stamford Bridge and new boss Villas-Boas is more than happy to give youth a chance this season.
