REPORTS: United Try To Hyjack Chelsea Move For Playmaker

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Javier Pastore, according to reports.

The talented South American was widely expected to join Chelsea this summer with the president claiming the Blues were favourites to land the 22-year old.

However, La Repubblica reports that Manchester Untied have made a late dash to sign the playermaker after missing out on number one target Wesley Sneijder.

United had been priced out of the Dutch international and will turn their attentions to the Argentine who has been identified to fill the void left by the retired Paul Scholes.

A decision on Pastore will be made next week, with Chelsea or Manchester United now favourites to land promising midfielder.
