Coach Admits He May Sell £20m Brazilian Starlet

By on July 30, 2011

Premiership target Douglas Costa could be on his way out of Ukraine this summer.

The 20-year old has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs previously and Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucecu concedes they may have to sell their Brazlian starlet.

The club would stand to make a huge profit on the player who cost just £5million from Gremio last summer, with reports suggesting the club would want at least £20million for Douglas. Lucecu conceded:

“Nothing official has been done yet, but I’d prefer to keep him in the squad because he is young, only 20 years old, and had a great start to his time with us.

“We’ll be playing in the Champions League and he has a group of Brazilians in Donetsk with him.

“However, if I am put in a position to sell, then there’s nothing I can do about it. I won’t keep players who do not want to be here, but Douglas Costa is certainly a great talent.”

kenny and comolli has already failed in bringing in the type of players that can help suarez and adam also kuyt and raul to make the difference in lfc,and with the money the owners have bring out for new players but no attracting players that arrived lfc this summer market its a pity.
