REPORTS: Chelsea Make Offer For £45m Rated Striker
Chelsea have made a surprising move for AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato, according to reports.
Milan-based Mediaset, which is owned by Rossoneri patron Silvio Berlusconi, revealed Chelsea have made an offer of around £20million plus their choice on Nicolas Anelka or Salomon Kalou.
Andre Villa-Boas has identified the Brazilian as the perfect striker partner for Fernando Torres. Villa-Boas has already claimed Chelsea are looking for youth this summer with the imminent arrival of Barcelona youngster Oriol Romeu and the club already confirming the signing of Thibaut Courtois.
Pato would certainly be a coup for the West London side, with the 21-year old scoring 57 goals in 127 games for the Serie A outfit. The only potential stumbling block is Chelsea’s valuation of the player. Milan value the player in and around £45million.
