Arsenal Finally Hit Rock Bottom….

Ladies and gentleman, the bottom of the barrel has officially been reached. I’m running out of hope…and I’m even running out of words to describe my beloved Arsenal!

We played two games this weekend and managed to lead in both, and not win either…again. Was it pre-season or just two extra games in the 2010/2011 season? But its okay because Wenger pointed out that we didn’t concede from corners…phew that’s okay, we have decided to just concede from open play now.

I know they’re friendlies and all about getting fit, but surely if you go into the season having played some good pre-season games, it must help. Man City won, Man U won, Chelsea won but thankfully Aston Villa didn’t, I say this because Villa are our major rivals for the oh so important 7th place in the league.

We used pretty much our full squad for the games, which is a bit of a worry as it’s not very good, even in friendlies, if Van Persie is the only shining light. Please don’t make him Captain as it’s a sure sign he’ll leave us. Make any of the central defenders Captain, apart from Tommy (who, by the way, is going to need our sympathy this season, as he is a top quality farmer standing in field of dung), even Johan, who I was a fan of, is developing Silvestre qualities. Squillaci reminds me of a bride’s father dancing at a wedding – you know it shouldn’t happen, you know it’s embarrassing, you know he has two left feet, but there is nothing you can do about it. I’d like to say he’s a mistake waiting to happen but sadly he’s already happened.

On a slightly positive note, I sadly got a bit excited about us signing Jags from Everton. This is crazy, he is an above average defender and will no doubt make us better, but surely our problems at the back need more than just buying a player to solve, they need some high quality coaching, which right now doesn’t look like it’s happening, so, great if we buy him, but maybe improve the coaching and if possible get two new centre halves and move Tommy to left back. I’m convinced our current defenders are so used to chucking the ball in, they are scared to make any decisions regarding how to defend.

Regarding the gossip of Mata, huh, so what? Creative players we aren’t short of, maybe Wenger’s plan (just joshing of course, he doesn’t have a plan) is to win games 6-5, though we all know we’ll be 6 up and be hanging on for a draw.

I reckon that if you read this after the first few games of the season – I will have proved what an iffy pre-season does to the start of the season…

He went wrong at the title and the first paragraph……the second para is fairly factual I suppose…the third is irrelevant crap….and its pretty much downhill from there.

I dont mind people having an opinion, but if they have no hope and hate the players, the manager, the board, the other fans and everything associated with the club, just maybe they should politely f**k off as suggested.

And the headline is so poor. It should read “Negative, media puppet fans hit rock bottom”.

Rush out and put a bet on Arsenal. The press at the moment is almost the same as it was before the invincibles season.

Right now it looks like we will retain Fabregas and Nasri, and have Vermaelen, Frimpong, Ramsey and Van Persie fit for the start of the season, which will be an improvement on last year. Only Clichy has left the club and there is plenty of cover at left back.

All the doomsayers are lengthening the odds like never before, you will never ever get such good odds on Arsenal winning.

It’s simply facts and not utter bollocks histrionics.
You should try using your own mind when making decisions.

This is the limit of negativity. You are feeding yourself with such negativity it’s unbelievable. There is some truth that the defence needs to be sorted out. But everyone knows that and i am sure the team is working on it right now. Chelsea and ManU won their games, so what? I saw a bit of humour in your article but hey the negativity is just sickening.

It is not negative garbage. With Nasr i
on the move to be joined by Fab,the gunners lose 30% of th team. I know we have Ramsey, blah blah, but they aint the real stuff.
The cl is a 99% goner and the epl about 50% . Of course this depends on whom Wenger brings in. If its more kids,he is deluded of course.

Blimey Wong you some kind of mathematician? Cesc & Nas = 30% of team. CL is 99% gone. PL 50% gone. What kind of spaced out machine you getting these figures from? Plucked from some obscure part of somewhere I guess. I don’t agree with you, I think you’re Wong.

Why are Arsenal in the present state?I believe Wenger has emphasised pretty soccer at the expense of results. He wanted to win with ps but as everybody knows, the epl is an unforgiving battleground.
The top players are fed up with his excuses and don’t expect trophies coming soon. That’s why they elect to leave. More will follow if he doesn’t change his philosphy and the gunners start winning. If there is no improvement, get ready for his head to roll thanks to his ego and stubborness.

I agree with many points made here but as an Arsenal fan it is incredibly, emotionally upsetting to see that we, Arsenal FC are not buying and seem to not have any ambition?
With respect to everyone, we do not seem to have a winning mentality, everyone wants to leave and lots of gossip that internally Wenger has lost the dressing room.

I pity poor Ron (Season ticket holder) who works on the underground text me, “Udinese game. No RVP suspended as is Nasri, Fabregas off to Barca, Walcott and Jack already listed as doubtful. OMG Europe Cup here we come. North London Derby final vs spuds!!

At least if we could beat the spuds I would take that but to be honest we have no heart and I am for once not confident in beating them – how can it get to the stage when I believe that?

From the Invincibles to this? Self destruction?

If the board and Arsene Wenger will not buy and replace then please move on and allow someone to take over the club with passion and ambition so we can compete. BEFORE it is too late and we cannot catch up….

The cl is 99.(5 gone. If you look at past winners they have a settled team and don’t sell their key players. Mathematically the gunners have a 0.1 chance to win. Now having drawn Udinese, the odds are stacked agaginst the gunners. Of course it helps if Wenger drafts in experienced guys not kids.We have had enough of these wc kids.
The gunners have a better chance of winning the epl in the sense that most of thier players, kids included, are epl experienced.

Having drawn Udinese, the gunners could be without Nasri,Feb,Walcott and RVP. What price the gunners can pull it off? Of course I am not under rating the FM.
It would help if the futures of Nasri and Feb are decided soon. Then he would have to reinvest the money on proven and exprienced players preferably with a winning mentality. If not,it could be a big ask.

i read untill you said “Villa are our major rivals”
are you seriouse am sure you must be a spurs fan

your saying 7th becouse we have not won the last to frendlay games with mix second players.

this season we have a good golekeeper we have vermilan back his like a new signing we have cover for right back we have a good all round player in gervinho

and at the end of the day fab is still here and nasri is still here.

we have only lost clichy he is a lose but when he was playering last season he didnt really do as pround much.

    this artical is dumb.

  28. Anthony Timothy

    August 5, 2011 at 3:33 pm

You don’t find top players wishing to leave teams that have been successful. By that I mean winning trophies. For the last six years, the gunners have promised much but fizzled out when it mattered most.
You don’t have top teams blowing a two goal and getting beaten.Which gunner fan can forget the Newcastle game.
Until and unless Wenger learns to play defensive/ugly with such leads, don’t be surprised the gunners continue to self destruct. It is becoming a disease with Arsenal. Teams aspiring to win trophies don’t have such traits
