Paolillo: Inter Now Willing To Sell Sneijder

Inter Milan chief Ernesto Paolillo who originally insisted that star player Wesley Sneijder will not be sold this summer, has performed a dramatic u-turn claiming they will consider any offers for the player.

Inter Milan chief Ernesto Paolillo who originally insisted that star player Wesley Sneijder will not be sold this summer, has performed a dramatic u-turn claiming they will consider any offers for the player.

The drawn out transfer saga between Manchester United, Inter Milan and Wesley Sneijder has be ongoing for the majority of the summer with United keen to sign the Dutch ace.

Reports in recent weeks have suggested Sneijder’s move to Old Trafford was imminent, but OT chief Sir Alex Ferguson claimed the Reds had completed their business this summer and the 27-year old would not be joining the Scot in Manchester.

However, United chief exec David Gill claimed the Premiership Champions wanted “one more” world class player, with many suspecting a playermaker to replace the retired Paul Scholes.

Paolillo was adamant Sneijder was staying put but now claims they will consider a big offer for the player. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, he admits:

“If there’s a bid we can’t refuse, whether it’s for Sneijder or other players, then we’ll look for a replacement.

“Sneijder is a great symbol of our club but, in football, anything can happen. At this moment, there are no talks ongoing but that may just change.”
