REPORTS: Samir Nasri Agrees Terms Ahead Of £20m City Move

By on August 6, 2011

French based media outlet L’Equipe are reporting that Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has agreed on the terms of his contract ahead of a protracted £20m transfer to Man City.

The report claims Nasri has an ‘agreement in principal’ with some suggesting Nasri will bag a £160,000p/w 5 year contract. Arsene Wenger is close to letting the 24 year old leave after the French manager was left decidingly unimpressed by Nasri’s attitude and performance during the 2-2 Emirates Cup draw with Boca Juniors.

Apparently Wenger is now willing to allow Nasri to leave for City, as long as he can secure a suitable replacement, and he would also like to get the Fabregas-Barca transfer settled before letting another influential player leave.

From what I saw at the emirates cup it’s not looking good this season
even if we keep nasri or fabregas we should of been like Liverpool and Manchester utd and bought earlier.
I hope we do get in that top 4 this season but I think 5th but I do think we will win the fa or carling cup this season.

Just simply rubbish reporting. How can a player agree terms with a club before that particular club has agreed with the club that currently has the ownership rights? I think we are a little more intelligent than this and we should not be insulted with such cheap gutter press reporting. While a do concede that Nasri might eventually leave Arsenal this or next season, I think it is time people came up with journalism that is factually based.

Really don’t know what blogs like this take fans for. Except a club gives the go ahead,a player under contract is not allowed to speak with another club! Its ridiculous how some fans say wenger should just sell fab and Nasri. Barca re reluctant to match arsenal’s worth for fab,re u saying we should collect the peanuts being offered? What if arsenal hold out for a better offer for Nasri from city? The only disadvantage is that its delaying transfer plans not disrupting the team’s preparation as some fans think.

let de boiz move out coz u r failing to formulate a team yet time flies. U had superplus players where r dey? why not viz? If they leave others will get enough time to perform wonders as was the situation before. The trophy comes after dedication, then who can give them? & high perks come after lifting silverwares. Shud Wenger enter the pitch & play for them.

So what? Is Samir Nasri the cornerstone of the Arsenal side? Absolutely not! In the three years he has been at Arsenal he has struggled and failed to be consistent, with last season representing his best in an Arsenal shirt, and by January, he had melted to nearly nothing. It is being reported that with Cesc’s departure [which is looking increasingly unlikely due to Barca’s peanut offers], Nasri will be allowed to play centrally in the Cesc role. This would be suicidal to Arsenal as Nasri doesn’t have even a quarter of Cesc’s creativity, having accumulated a paltry 16 assists in three years!!! Wilshere and Ramsey would be much better options were Cesc to move on,NOT Nasri. If he goes, he goes, I wouldn’t care.

Nasri is a money grabbinga twat. Not interested in football just money. The league have got to put a limit on how much a club can spend in one season and also the wages are getting way to stupid and a limit on wages should be brought in also. These players like Nasri are a disgrace to men fighting on frontlines earning peanuts and these are leaving clubs from getting 60000 a week to 160000 a week it’s perfetic. Nasri is a traitor get rid of him quick and grab the 20 million for him. He was crap anyway. He had a few good months and then went to a hero. Not in my mind he’s not. Goodbye Nasri you money grabbing traitor.

We should start trying to get our troops more money. For what they do they get peanuts. Maybe Nasri and others should give it a go on the frontlines they would cry like baby’s and realise money ain’t everything.

I m tired of these guys….. They are a waste now… I am sick when I hear that they are planning to leave because “Arsenal couldn’t win trophies..” sick… How will Arsenal win trophies if they don’t play with all their efforts and attitude? Unless they are good and play well, how are they expecting that? Aren’t they one of those very crucial players that are responsible for not winning anything? That is the reason why they are in the team….. A$$… go away from this team..

mr wenger, where is your pride or self rerspect ?if nasri have some respect,it should have been towards you,but sadly he don’t hold that respect towards you,so in your place i would phone up mancini asking him, whats taking you so long, come AND GET THIS SHIT OUT OF THE GROVE,AND THAT GOES FOR FABREGAS TO,LURE to barca has turned his head in no small way,35 million for me will do,considering that till a few weeks ago you were ready to loose money grabber nasri for nothing, and now we are getting 20/22 million for him,so that will leave us some 17 million better of,if you see my point,at least cesc during his eight years here was never a problem.good luck cesc, can’t say the same to you, pinocchio

it is pay time for wenger of his unability to strenghten the team for the past six years ago.How can arsenal becomes fidder club for man city?Arsenal has become a laughing stock because of lack of funds in transfer activities. The fans should stop living in past glory for previous achievements of Wenger and have a critical look at the .present situation.Nobody knew wenger when he came to arsenal and people should stop thinking that without wenger,Arsenal is no team.Wenger should be a economics consultant and not football coach. Why should you wait for so long before offering nasri a new contract? and given fabrigas a long contract if he really cares about nasri.Who doesn’t likes money? Ask wenger who has been earning 6 million a year without winning a trophy. He is sitting on the comfortable seat as jose Murighno said.Even if they sell both Fab&Nasri wenger would keep the money and make a lot of excuses for not getting the right players into the team,The fans must stand up against wenger for his stingy towards transfer activities.
