Fabregas Cancels Flight To Barcelona

By on August 12, 2011

Cesc Fabregas’ prolonged transfer to Barcelona will not take place until Monday at the earliest now, after the Catalans told the Arsenal captain to remain in London this weekend, according to Sky Sports News.

Widespread reports had suggested Fabregas was enroute to Barca as we speak with a view to attending the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday, possibly as a Barcelona player.

However, Arsenal insist no deal have been reached and to avoid upsetting the Gunner at such a crucial point in negotiations, Pepe Guardiola has told Fabregas to cancel his flight and remian in London until everything is finalised.

Monday now seems the most likely time when the transfer will go through and Fabregas will finally be a Barca player.
