REPORTS: Chelsea Hijack Arsenal’s Move For €30m Ace

Chelsea have entered the race to sign Valencia’s Juan Mata and have already had an opening offer turned down for the player, according to reports.

Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has already suggested he wants to add a winger to his squad this summer with speculation that the Spanish maestro tops his most wanted list.

Valencia are demanding €30 million for Juan Mata who has previous been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal. Arsene Wenger has ruled out a move for the 23-year old but reports suggest the Frenchman may still rekindle his interest in Mata before the end of the transfer window.

Spanish based media outlet Marca says Valencia rebuffed an offer from Chelsea totalling €25 million earlier this week. The Blues are preparing to order Fernando Torres to convince his international team-mate of the merits of a move to Stamford Bridge.
