Tottenham plan to sit down with Luka Modric over an improved deal to keep him in North London.
Chelsea’s pursuit of Luka Modric was the most publicised transfer saga this summer with the Blues reportedly offering a deadline day offer of £40million.
Throughout the summer chairman Daniel Levy had insisted the playmaker will remain at White Hart Lane and the 25-year old wasn’t for sale at any price.
Modric is thought to be on around £45k at Tottenham and still has five years to run on his current deal. However, Levy is hoping a £30k pay rise will enough to keep Modric at White Hart Lane.
