Coyle Backs Chelsea Move For Gary Cahill

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle expects Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas to make a move for defender Gary Cahill in January.

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle expects Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas to make a move for defender Gary Cahill in January.

The Blues had been linked with Cahill in the summer and the Scot expects his friend to rekindle their interest in January. Coyle struck up a friendship with AVB while doing their coaching badges together. When asked if he expected Villas-Boas to bid for Cahill in January, Coyle said:

“When you look at the players he has brought in, there is no doubt Gary is that type of player.”

Bolton take on Chelsea today, with the Trotters hoping to kick start their season after a poor start to the campaign.
