Arsenal Blow As Playmaker Rejects January Move

By on October 16, 2011

Arsenal’s 23 year-old central midfield target Marvin Martin has ruled out leaving his French side Sochaux this winter amid rumours that he might be on his way to North London soon.

Arsene Wenger is looking at several midfield options to reinforce his squad with quality players capable of pulling Arsenal back up the table after a miserable start, and Martin is on the managers list of targets. However, Wenger must wait until at least next summer to make a move for the highly rated midfielder, who said :

“I’ve started the season with Sochaux, and I’ll finish it with Sochaux as well. I have absolutely no desire to leave the side like that in the middle of the season.”

Martin has gathered interest from several clubs including Manchester United after a brilliant season last year, scoring four and assisting 17 goals for his side. For more on Martin, read a previous study I did on him a few months ago as the original interest begun.

LOL I thought I heard Arsene crying!!! Seriously if we signed every “target” this site said we were supposedly chasing we would have the highest wage bill in the EPL by a factor of 10 – beside he can’t really be genuine Arsenal “target” unless Liverpool were chasing him as well can he…..Oh and Juventus and Spurs!
