Chelsea Chief Hails ‘Phenomenal’ Villas-Boas Impact

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay is delighted with the early impact made by new manager Andre Villas-Boas at Stamford Bridge.

Villas-Boas’ side beat Everton 3-1 on Saturday to close within one point of Manchester United and remain just three behind leaders Manchester City, and the 33-year-old has been praised for implementing a new attacking style at Stamford Bridge.

Gourlay, who reportedly authorised the £15million deal for the former Porto man in the summer, said:

“Andre has done a fantastic job since he came in. His attention to detail is phenomenal. He has the respect of the team.

We are playing a different style of football, an attacking style. We’re playing well and there are lots of new ideas.”

Don’t sack him pliz. I hope the words from your mouth are directly from your heart. The guy is promising and far much better than Jose Mourinho.
