Marseille vs Arsenal: Preview, Team News & Predicted Team

This will be quite a test for Arsenal. Lets face it. Going to the Stade Velodrome and getting 3 points is really demanding but if the real Arsenal, and by that I mean the Arsenal of the first 20 mins against Sunderland, show up we WILL win.

A quick background check on our opponents reveals that they are unbeaten in the champions league having thrashed Dortmund 3-0 last game week. In the league they are unbeaten in their last 5 games, however that being said they have won only twice of the last 5. Last year they finished runners-up in Ligue 1.

Not conceding and defending well should be the main objective apart from the 3 points. Personally I rather have 2-0 than 3-1 because this defense needs confidence, and a way to get confidence for any defense is to keep clean sheets against top-sides.

Probable Line up :

Rosicky’s performance against Sunderland was brilliant, he looked like his old self. He ran forward, pressurised players and played some lovely football. If he can keep that up, we have got ourselves a great player. Gervinho also looked good on Sunday, He is learning to pass more often now. His performance against Sunderland was an 8/10 for me, and if he maintains this level, he will be crucial for us this season. These 2 along with RVP will be imperative when we attack. Song for me is world class. Same goes for RVP. I’d rather not comment on Theo.
