The agent of Parma forward Sebastian Giovinco has revealed that Chelsea are interested in his client.

24-year old Giovinco is co-owned by Parma and Juventus, and his agent Andrea D’Amico revealed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and manager Andre Villas-Boas are both keen admirers of the forward.

D’Amico also admitted that Stamford Bridge would be a favourable destination for his client and that he could depart when the transfer window re-opens in January.

“It is no secret Roman Abramovich likes Sebastian Giovinco,” agent Andrea D’Amico told Sportal.it.

“The Chelsea boss was impressed by Sebastian in 2008/09 when he faced the Blues in the Champions League with Juventus.

“Also, if Andre Villas Boas really loves the technical qualities of the player, it means he is a football connoisseur. But at this moment, the market is closed and agents cannot be contacted.”

“Obviously Chelsea would be appreciated as a destination, but at the moment there is absolutely nothing concrete in it.

“Could he leave in January? It depends on Parma, but first of all we’d have to see if there was an actual offer.”

Giovinco has made an excellent start to Serie A, scoring five in the clubs first four games.
