Villas-Boas On Course For The Sack Before January

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is on course to start his Stamford Bridge career in similar fashion to former boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is on course to start his Stamford Bridge career in similar fashion to former boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Scolari was sacked in January 2009 after just 36 games in charge. The Brazilian managed 20 wins, five losses and 11 draws, losing only 14 per cent of his matches.

After 15 games, Villas-Boas has already suffered three defeats – losing 20 per cent of his games. The former Porto boss has come under intense scrutiny after the Chelsea suffered back to back defeats to London rivals QPR and Arsenal.

Could the axe fall on Andre Villas-Boas in similar fashion to that of Scolari? You’d have to think it’s unlikely given the amount of effort (and money) Roman Abromovich spent luring him to West London.  The smart money would be on the young pretender given time to turn things around, but stranger things have happened. not many people believed Scolari, or Ancelotti for that matter, deserved the chop!
