Liverpool’s biggest problem this season is their inabillity to score goals. With Luis Suarez doing his usual magic, Liverpool need a player to play alongside him, and be the one to make use of that magic to score goals. As Andy Carroll is struggling for form, Liverpool may be looking for a striker in January. Here is a list of 5 players Liverpool should consider buying:
1. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
The Dutch striker has been in deadly form this season, scoring 12 league goals for his club Schalke, and finishing as top scorer of the Euro Cup Qualifications with 12 goals in 8 matches for Oranje. The striker would be available for a reasonable price, and would probably be happy to move to a club of Liverpool’s stature. The only problem is his age, as he is 28 years old.
2. Mario Gomez
Gomez is a player Liverpool have a long term interest in. Considering that he is in fantastic form, and that Bayern are in the Champions League, it will be hard to get him. It would probably take an Andy Carroll type fee for Bayern to let him go, but if Liverpool get him they will have a player that can, when in form, score goals for fun.
3. Lukas Podolski
Another German player that Liverpool have a long term interest in. He has outgrown his club Köln a long time ago, and it is a miracle no big club has snapped him up already. He has impressive on-field inteligence, is very creative and is also a proven goal-scorer. Would be available for a good price, and is the most likely target from this list.
4. Alexandre Pato
The young Brazilian is a fantastic prospect. He has fallen out from Allegri’s plans due to injury and lack of form, but when fit, he is one of the deadliest strikers in the world. It is doubtfull whether he would want to join Liverpool, but if yes, then Kenny should definitely snap him up. The price would be a very high one, but FSG have proved that they are ready to spend big on young talent.
5. Leandro Damiao
Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly interested in the young Brazilian prodigy. Reports have suggested that he will be heading to Ukraine for €34 million, but these rumours have disappeared in recent days. The striker is a fantastic prospect, but the question is are FSG ready to spend a huge amount of money on a rather unknown and unproven player? The striker would be a big risk, but a risk that could pay off hugely.
Those are my suggestions, feel free to leave your own in the comments section.

Liverpool should sign Edinson Cavani or Diego Millito.
Cavani is younger, a Uruguayan like Suarez and scores loads of goals for Napoli. He would be my favoured signing instead of Mario Gomez, Klass Huntelaar. I’d probably also want to sign Neymar and or Eden Hazard
The big red

And how many of those are actually realistic? At most podolski.
We need to do what Napoli did and take an educated risk on a talented striker who doesn’t have to be excessively worked on like Carroll.
That player is Luuk De Jong and is destined for greatness.

I am in total agreement with the other liverpool supporters that Higuain would be the best option. He is young (23), creative, clinical, and possibly available. If Tevez goes to Real then it is almost certain Higuain is leaving. And I think that a bid of 20 million pounds would be enough to clinch his signing. But also depends however how well liverpool do by January.

Get Damiao, otherwise Cavani for excellent Uruguay striker connection.
For second player, fans just couldn’t wait for someone called ‘playmaker’ to partner Adam in the centre.

If we could get Tevez on a season loan, that would been the best deal even if he has a crappy attitude. on loan theres basicly very low risk for a GOAL machine and we can try to use money on a central defender and maybe another winger instead. Tevez would guarantee atleast 10-15goals in half a season.

The ideal partner for Suarez isn’t even on the list…just so you know his name is Higuain. LFC could use a finisher like the lad. And plus, he is fluent in Spanish same as Suarez. Their partnership could do many wonderful things for LFC. I hope KK signs him up.

Ideal partner for Suarez is …wait for it ….Fernando Torres.
If Chelsea would count there losses and Torres apologised for the manner of his exit we should do the deal.

Well, i would gladly take back Torres since he was a big favourite at Anfield and im kinda over that he left for Chelsea. But i very much doubt Chelsea would want to sell him to us, theyre not as stupid like we were selling 3 players that was pretty good in a Liverpool shirt to them. They can easily sell Torres back to Spain and get alot of money for him if they wanted too.

Higuain or Cavanni i think will be the perfect partnership for luis Suarez then a playmaker in partnership with Charli Adam wil be ok for us

I think the best partners for Suarez are Bellamy and Carroll, oh, we already have them at the club, excellent.
Can you all please do what supporters are supposed do and support the team. The players we have, give 100%, it’s starting to show on the pitch. Trust the management to deliver and select the right players to improve the squad, your job is to be fanatical about the club, that’s why your called fans.

Cavani – they’d proven themselves as a perfect duo in their national team.
Ibrahimovic – his one-of-a-kind split vision would be a great addition to Suarez pace.
Below team would win the CL – with ease:
Cavani-Suarez
Gerrard-Ibrahimovic-Johnson
Leiva-Adam
Enrique-Agger-Coates-Kelly
Reina

Let’s bring Tevez,Higuin,Neymar,Villa and hazard.
These are all known as goal scorers and game destroyers.
Tevez can combine well with Suarez, look,he was the fastest runner at the South Africa World Cup.We need a mad swift runner like him to carry the day with Suarez.Tevez doesn’t tolerate desparate substitutes and he just needs good approach. When a manager is wrong he must apologise to players, not always critisising others.
We must for the first time convice a classic player.
Torres wants to come back but he’s shy to expose it.Its up to the manager to consider him.Bellamy was considered, what about him?
Its clear like he (TORRES) said that he wants to leave Chelsea for Spain.Let’s confrant him,and he will request for a transfer.
If Torres can’t score chelsea can’t keep him.

Tevez, Higuain, Neymar, Villa and Hazard??
Get off your PS3 …
Your saying have 5 strikers on the pitch?? must be kidding, not to mention the at least 200 million pounds required to bring these players to the club ….
having hazard + villa on the same team is pointless, they basically play a very similar role ..
Torres would be an awesome option, but hes outta form best thing he could do is offer space to suarez
honestly if your gonna pay the kinda money you offered id love to see
Suarez – Higuain
Gerrard
Gotze/Hazard Downing (I like the kid)
Adam (playmaker, not holding)
then the obvious defensive contingent

I think having a closer look at the German Bundesliga would be a pretty wise thing to do. In general, prices there aren’t too inflationary YET, even though there are a lot of very decent players. I think we should try and get Marco Reus from Borussia Mönchengladbach. He is a brilliant striker and still very young. Unfortunately Bayern Munich and Man City are also keen to get him. But I would also love to see Lukas Podolski pairing up with Suarez.

We don’t have confidence to bring classic players.
Whenever we make a move and big spenders comes our way,we withdraw. When we epress interest in a player,we want a player to push us into signing him.Let’s learn to convice players.
Let’s spend money to become the best once and for all again.
Naymer’s club revealed that Real Madrid used a wrong approach. They were just too bully and Santos turned the deal.
We LFC,if we negotiate with them Neymar can be released to us.Let’s not not intimidate the Neymar club.We must approach them with respect.
(1)Tevez.
(2)Neymar.
(3)Hazard.
(4)Villa.
(5)Higuin.
(6)Torres.
(7)These are some options:-
David Luiz(because looks like the coach isn’t pleased with his skills as he said on sky something like stupid! He can leave coz such criticisms)
Honda,Damiao,Podolski,Sneidjer,Fabiano,Ronaldinho,Malouda,Sturridge,Van Persie.

Tevez – Lose cannon and will leave for the continent
Neymar – Off to Spain .. dont kid yourself
Hazard – NOT a striker he is a great playmaker and makes great runs, but not a true striker, still a possibility
Villa – Old, good player but why would he leave Barca??
Higuain – Possible
Torres – HAH
Luiz is a defender? Only one you mentioned on the rest of the list is VP
Sneijder as the next stevie would be great though

Huntelaar, podolski and maybe Damiao are possible to get out of that list..
LOL at people talking about Higuain!!
Yeah Real will sell their #1 striker to us??
I think someone like Lavezzi would be ideal partner for suarez but i doubt we can get him…
Yes ofcourse we should buy Hazard, Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney too

November 22, 2011 at 2:02 am
Exactly! Higuain is on fire at the moment! Personally I dont think any of the strikers would be a good fit for Suarez, need a complete contrast of him, or someone like Defoe, a poacher, otherwise the best alternative is already at LFC. Carroll. If he sorts his habits out that is…..
