Tottenham Hotspur are preparing moves for Klass-Jan Huntelaar and Steven Pienaar, according to Spurs are looking to spend in the transfer market as they will be competing in the Champions League next season. Given that captain Robbie Keane is likely to move to Aston Villa, manager Harry Redknapp believes that Huntelaar would be great for Spurs’ attack next season.

In August 2009, Huntelaar transferred to Serie A giants Milan from Real Madrid for a reported €15 million, signing a four-year contract, but he had a disappointing first season, scoring only seven goals in 21 Serie A matches.

Although AC Milan sporting director Ariedo Braida has insisted that forwad Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is not for sale, the Holland international could leave, as both Benfica and Tottenham are rumoured to be interested in making a move for him.

Reports indicate that Harry Redknapp is interested in Steven Pienaar as well. Pienaar enjoyed a fine season with Everton this season and Spurs’ boss could offer Jermaine Jenas to the Toffees to help bring “Schillo” to White Hart Lane.

With a year left on his current Everton deal, Pienaar’s future at Goodison Park has been a subject of intense speculation in recent months. However, Pienaar, who was recently voted Everton’s Player of the Season, says he is not bothered about speculation currently linking him with potential moves to Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur:

”As a player, my job is to play and that is for my management team to deal with. I’m totally focused on Bafana and the World Cup.”

Would you like to see Huntelaar and Pienaar play for Spurs?
