i think bastian schweinsteiger and podolski would be perfect replacements for the leaving ballack and joe cole. in terms of age on the ball, quality, experience and versatility and also pace.

Bastian schwienstieger would be a great signing, but torres would be to expensive . maicon would be brilliant, he’s very strong, one of the best defenders in the world and he would come in to right back so ivanovic can provide cover at centre back as carvalho is set to leave. We could also do with another quality young striker because drogba is 32 and anelka is 31, aguero would be brilliant but no more than 35 million. Or higuain who’s a proven goalscorer and he’s young.

Look, we’ve released J.Cole and Ballack because they are not first team players and between them they cost the club 200k a week (approx 10m a year).
I’m happy with our defense.
We do not need Di Maria. We have Malouda who has been one of our best players, and Kakuta is ready to come into the team. We also have Stock. These youngsters can’t improve if we just buy players without trying them first. I wouldn’t buy Schweinsteiger for 25m, I’d buy Steven Ireland for 12m who is proven in The Premiership, or Van Der Vaart. Remember we have a wage cap now and these 2 are highly under-rated players who would suit us.
Drogba and Anelka are getting on and this is the area that concerns me. Pato will cost way too much. Andy Caroll from Newcastle would cost about 8m, and would be more effective in our league. Sturridge is the other man!
Stop with your unrealistic targets, it isn’t going to happen.

Yes pato and de Maria are too expensive but kakuta and stock are no way near ready for first team and BTW we could do with de Maria because he plays on the right side and malouda plays left and we all know our right side is quite weak

Andy Carroll would do nothing for chelsea. At 8 million he’s extremely overated.
Kaka has said that he’s unhappy at real Madrid and Jose mourinho has said he’s interested in ballack so why not Cole ballack plus 50 million for kaka. And he’s not the sort of the player that would move For money. The only problem is hes under a five year contact.

Abramovich has said that hes giving ancelotti 100 million so Let’s spend it wisely and not buy fringe players like Ireland and Carroll and get schweinsteiger who’s a great midfielder and maicon who will be cheaper because his contract runs out next summer and it will make it easily the best defence in the premiership. Also his style of football would adapt well in the premiership because he’s an attacking full back like Cole, evra, Ivanovic, zhirkov when he fills in at left back, clichy, ferreira, insua, bale, assou-ekotto, belhadj, and he’s a world class defender

To Daniel: if you have got 100 million to spend then nothing is unrealistic, Stephen Ireland can’t even get in the man city team, so what’s he gonna do at chelsea. And with man city buying who they want like milner and kaka, we will need to improve aswell. Man city don’t perform with there players but I’m sure the big names thats bieng mentioned would. I think schweinsteiger would be brilliant and mabye maicon
