Arsenal have been handed an injury boost with the news that Jack Wilshere is due to return to full training in two weeks time.

The Daily Mail reports that Wilshere is pencilled in to rejoin his team mates in full training later this month and Arsene Wenger is hopeful he could make his first team come back in early February.

The 20-year-old has missed the entire season so far after injuring his ankle in pre season, with the injury eventually requiring surgery. Arsene Wenger has always maintained the midfielder would be back in February and it looks like he was spot on.

We play Bolton on the 1st of February but it’s highly unlikely he’ll be back in time for that game. My guess is he might make a substitute appearance against Blackburn on the 4th with a view to starting against Sunderland on the 11th. If all goes well, Wilshere will be in the line-up to face AC Milan in the Champions League first leg on the 15th Feb!

We’ve severely missed the genius of Jack in the middle of the park this season and his return to action will be a massive boost for the club.

Song, Ramsey and Arteta have practically played every game this season and all three have been looking tired in recent weeks. A fully fit and fresh Wilshere will hopefully rejuvenate the Arsenal midfield going in to the second half of the season.

The Mail also suggest that Thomas Vermaelen and Bacary Sagna could return to action against Manchester United this weekend, but i’m not getting my hopes up on that just yet. Too much good news on the injury front may send me in to cardiac arrest.
