Everton vs Chelsea: Team News, Likely Line-ups & Predicted Score

Goodison Park

Chelsea face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday looking to bounce back after throwing away a three-goal lead against Man Utd last weekend.

Everton always seem to raise their games when the big-bos come to Goodison, with David Moyes’ men registering an impressive 1-0 win against table-topping Man City a few weeks ago.

Andre Villas-Boas is keen to get back on track after a three game winless run in the league which has left them just one point ahead of fifth placed Newcastle.

Team News

Steven Pienaar should continue on the left after making a successful return last week against Wigan.

New signing Nikica Jelavic is pushing for a start but is likely to remain on the bench with goal-scoring sub Victor Anichebe partnering Stracqualursi up top. Everton remain without Jagielka, Rodwell, Osman and Coleman.

Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel return to the Chelsea squad after missing last weeks draw with United. Ashley Cole also returns after completing a one-match suspension.

However, John Terry remains on the sidelines with a knee injury, so Gary Cahill should continue alongside David Luiz at the back, while Ramires is a long-term injury concern.

Predicted Score

Everton have beaten Chelsea on there last two visits to Goodison Park and i expect a tough test once again for Villas-Boas and his men. I can see the final score being Everton 1-1 Chelsea.
