[Video Goals] Chelsea 1-1 Birmingham: Pressure Mounts On Villas-Boas

By on February 18, 2012

Chelsea could only manage a 1-1 draw with Championship side Birmingham at Stamford Bridge in their FA Cup fifth round tie today.

The visitors took a shock lead after 20 minutes when Murphy lashed home at the far post from a corner. The home side got the chance to level after Ramires was felled in the box, but Juan Mata saw his penalty saved as Colin Doyle made a superb save to tip it on to the post.

Chelsea did make it 1-1 though when Daniel Sturridge headed home Ivanovic’s superb cross. Neither side could add to the scoreline and the pressure mounts on AVB after another disappointing result. Watch the highlights from the game here:

Great plastic flag waving chelski fans singing mourinho’s name during the game. Pathetic. And, once again Torreschenko fails and is humiliatingly subbed at half time. Thanks for the 50 million tho.
