Emmanuel Frimpong Goes To War With Piers Morgan On Twitter

By on February 20, 2012

Emmanuel-Frimpong-Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong took it upon himself to defend manager Arsene Wenger, as he went to war with Gunners fan Piers Morgan on Twitter.

Journalist Morgan, who’s been an Arsenal fan for 42 years and holds a season ticket at the Emirates, has called for manager Arsene Wenger to be sacked following our recent defeats to AC Milan and Sunderland and has regularly used Twitter to voice his opinions.

VOdds

I respect Wenger’s record for us as much as anyone. But he’s run out of ideas, and we’ve run out of trophies. Time for change” was a recent tweet by Morgan, closely followed by “Better Wenger leaves now, while we all still love and respect him, than watch this horrible deterioration get worse and worse”.

While some Arsenal fans may agree with Piers Morgan and believe it’s time for a managerial change, one individual who certainly doesn’t is Frimpong. You can see the twitter exchange that ensued for yourself by going to @Frimpong26AFC and @piersmorgan and look at their timelines, but here’s a basic transcript of their row:

EF: Stop chatting soo much rubbish you. You know nothing about football. You sit behind your laptop and just talk utter rubbish.

PM: Oh really, Mr Frimpong? Well truth hurts, sunshine. And I’m not afraid to tell it. (you can’t even get in THIS Arsenal team)

EF: Just don’t bring your ugly face to the emirates because we at Arsenal are sick and tired of your abuse towards players and coach.

PM: Pipe down Junior, and go to bed. I’ve been following Arsenal for 42 years – twice as long than you’ve been born.

EF: We don’t need your support. You’re better off reading a script, leave the football to people that know about it. Wasteman

PM: Big words, big guy. I suggest you focus on improving your game – rather than abusing loyal fans. Most of whom agree with me. I actually like @Frimpong26AFC and his passion – but his youthful arrogance and complacency sums up #Arsenal ‘s malaise.

EF: It still amazes me you call yourself a fan? A fan don’t doesn’t do the things you do. The fans are the people that travel thousands of miles every weekend to support their team. Fans are the 60,000 people we have every saturday. Fans don’t turn their back on their team.

So, yes, Piers, you ain’t a fan. You’re just some big old school bully that has too much time on twitter. Now you go bed and wake up early to read.

PM: I’ve followed Arsenal for 42yrs and own 4 season tickets. That entitles me to an opinion. Which is: we need a new manager.

EF: Loyal?? Well in football you have bad and good times. The LOYAL fans are the ones that remember the Good times. And wait for More.

PM: You’re so loyal to Arsenal you went to Wolves. So put a DEEENNCH in it and stop pandering to the blinkered minority.

EF: When was your last game at the emirates? Instead of the Internet. What have you ever done for Arsenal in 42 years? Nothing

PM: I’ve supported them. Nothing more, nothing less. And I want us to be competitive again, not perennial losers

EF: You’re entitled to your opinion. Of course you are, but there are ways of doing it, and telling your 2 million followers rubbish we don’t need ain’t class.”

PM:  you started this by abusing a diehard fan who cares about his team. That demeans you Emmanuel, and I thought better of you.

It’s good to see the players sticking up for their manager, but perhaps a public row with a journalist and isn’t the best way to go about things!

Who do you agree with? Is Piers Morgan right, is it time for a new manager? Or do you back Frimpong and think the fans should stick by the manager and team no matter what?

Frimpong gets a first hand glance at the manager because he works with him and who is piers morgan to take the mick out of a player from a team that he ‘supports’ Piers Morgan is an Anti-Arsenal-Arsenal fan. And the reason why this team and wenger are starting to get their spirits down.

    I hope Piers Gets Frimponged.

When you are doing something wrong then your true friends will tell you that your wrong. Sticking up for the indefensible decisions of Arsene isn’t helping him at all, it only encourages him to carry on unchecked (god he’s just given JD another extension on his contract!) genius! meanwhile Frimpong needs to calm down both on and off the pitch, he’s showing promise and passion but all he’s achieving is getting sent off or getting injured. Calm down lad. The fans know a good player when they see one, they know who’s trying and who’s not and they’re entitled to their views. Hell most of them are right. They wouldn’t have bought Silvestre or put up with Almunia all these years. They’d have brought in a defensive coach and sorted out this pathetic defence and sorted out the midfield that doesn’t track back. The fans are not too close to the players and can see the faults. let them speak. So on this one I’m supporting Piers.

I have never questioned Frimpong’s loyalty or commitment to Arsenal but I do think his conduct has taken a hit with this one.

Players like Frimpong and Wilshere wear their heart on their sleeve. They are what Arsenal need, Local lads with passion and spirit for the club. What other say about Arsenal should be taken with a pinch of salt.

If they are doing all they can for the club then that’s enough.

Stay away from twitter and stay focused of football!!!!

As for Arsenal F.C. I think we do need some changes. Football is a sport and sport is about winning. To go seven years without silverware and still claim to be happy because we finish in the top four is in my opinion the wrong attitude. It sends a wrong message to fans and players alike.

If you can put more into the team we can get more out but that needs to a good balance of quality and youth and i feel Arsenal have too much youth and too little quality. I know we’ve been unlucky with injuries this season but lets no smooth over the cracks here. So many “so called” first team players have been found wanting and just lately even RVP looks like a beat man because he knows he is carrying everyone else. He also knows, just like Nasri, Fabregas and Cliche did that the current squad are too weak to win trophies. With every loss they seem to lose more confidence and heart and that is hard to regain in today’s toughest ever Premier League.

I love arsene and his passion for the club that I love. I have no doubt in my mind that he does the best job that he possibly can. pat rice is a top man and arsenal legend and I thank him for all he has achieved for arsenal. arsene needs to freshen things up a bit. he needs someone as a number 2 who has alternative ideas as to how the team plays and how the team is motivated. I feel Martin keown would be perfect as arsene’s no2. he is honest, knowledgeable and I feel that his opinion would be if great help to a team that has lost it’s will to fight and focus.

I cherish Frimpong’s attitude towards Morgan. It proves Wenger still has control of the dressing room but believe me, anybody who wishes Wenger gone at this stage is the true Arsenal fan.

Anybody who knows me should know as well that I’ve religiously stood by Wenger and waited but my patience has expired. It did the day Wenger substituted AOC against Man U. It’s not about having quality players…even with the little he has, Wenger can’t read matches any more. He carried that misorder to Milan, playing Gibbs and keeping Coqlene on the bench…keeping AOC on bench too…and bringing the worst footballer in recent times, Djourou when Kocielny got injured. Coqlene could have come in to take the place of Song in MD while Song, like he later did in Sunderland gone to partner Vermalaen.

Many blunders of Wenger of late says ust one thing – it’s time for the Frenchman to pack his bags!

For once Piers Morgan is spot on. Wenger was complaining that supporters who have never managed have no right to criticize him, now Frimpong who has not exactly lit the world afire takes offence to the point he thinks he can tell a season ticket holder to basically fuck off? Who the fuck pays your wages son? I have been a supporter of this club since 1969 and WE are the ones that have stuck by Arsenal through thick and thin. WE do not need some young punk player or not to tell us WE must leave.

Frimpong can fuck right off to Spurs for all I care. The kid has a big mouth and a tiny brain as he shows on Twitter daily. Wenger’s first job is to get these immature idiots working on their game and helping the club rather than pissing off the REAL supporters, their REAL employers.

As for Wenger, I have supported him through out the thin times…but the facts are clear, the club is in decline and he has failed in his job. We don’t even expect to win going into matches now, we only hope to score and not make school boy errors at the back.

The grave yard is filled with irreplaceable men Arsene. It is either time to change course or move on.

Piers Morgan is a nob head! God bless Frimpong and Wenger! Anyone calling for wenger to be sacked for the most stupid idiots ever! Why do people think money will automatically cure things? Look at Chelsea!!! Why do people think a new manager will cure things? Look at Chelsea again!!!!! Wenger is the man! Jus a cpl players r needed and that’s the truth! We miss wilshere to bits, we’ve not had recognised full bks for so long yet we’re still in top4 at the mo I’m tires of piers Morgan and his bull crap!! He knows fuk all abt football! Even Frimpong at 19/20 knows more than him…people forget Frimpong has lived and breathed football for his whole life, not just watched 90mins every weekend!! All I’m sayin is, be careful wat u wish for cos if wenger goes, we may not even get to the Europa league. Fancy bein like Liverpool for the next 5yrs? Hell no!!! Rather support everton n jus settle for not competing for the league…be like a real fan and love my club for my club how it used to be

More players ready to fight on and of the pitch…. I’m liking it Frimpong!!
Some Arsenal supporters don’t have the belly for a fight. That is part of the problem. Look at Liverpool. Kenny drags that team throught he mud. Trails us in the league. didn’t eaven get in to europe let alone Champions league or Finals and the Liverpool fans fully back him. Get some balls ye Gooners. Stand up and Support le Prof. and see Morgan for what it is… weekness!!! out.

I’m not a fan of Piers Morgan but agree 100% with him. Us fans who pay a fortune and Frimpongs wages have every right to call for Wengers head, and yes Wenger should go. I like Frimpong as a player so much better than that mug Song and understand he’s going he’s going to back his current boss, but he has no right to criticise or abuse Arsenal fans for voicing their opinions. Shut Frimpong and grow up.

I wish to be indifferent but rather wish to offer some salient/apparent standpoints of d two main acts here(piers and frimmy). Piers epitomises d feeling of average arsenal fan if not all. Those that are supporting wenger on here cant tell me they do same in their heart of hearts. Most of us are gutted and i for one has never been bold enough to come out and give wenger a stick cos i fear reprisal from sychophants. Kudos to d likes of piers. For frimmy, he can only support wenger cos he wont want to bite d hand thats feeding him. If he were to be an older and greater player, in d class of rvp, he’ll take a back seat and watch piers stick out wenger and even enjoy it. Frimmy should concentrate on his football and should accept the fact that being a player is different from being a fan.

PM is not particularly pleasent and if I were a gooner I’d certainly speak out against him. Looking forward to seeing how vocal he’ll become when he and all his journalist friends come a cropper through the recent enquiries. Good for frimpong, nice to see a player stick up for his club and manager! Ps from a wolves fan, so no axe to grind. PM…..yuck! Just crawl back to America an stay there!

Even the most die hard Arsene Wenger (not Arsenal) fans know deep down in their hearts that it’s over for him. They just continue to mouth support for him. Thanks Mr. Morgan. God bless you.

arsene leaving will be a another “horrible intermilan, chelsea and liverpool coach mixed and matcth tragedy” wenger should change himself, make self revolution, take a look at blunders statistic, be more bargainable with fans, lessen stubborn “sometiimes even an average man see better than expert” especially in this kind of situation. arsenal need a comeback from a disaster, for the sake of arsenal consistency wenger need to comeback too! please change more my prof!

    ‘you can’t even get in THIS Arsenal team’.For a journalist,that’s a reckless,probably unintentional,insult.

I mean, you can view success in many ways.Trophies is just one of them.A string of good performances is a success.Managing to do so while playing entertaining football is a success.Qualifying for Champions League is a success.

Everton fans would be really delighted if they qualify for the Champions League even for once.(no offense,I just try to make my point. The same goes for other relevant teams too)

I can’t stand having someone called Piers as a fan and his smarmy, slimy manner are detestable. Just look at how he made it look like Frimpong was the aggressor, the scumbag gutter journo.

But on this one, I have to agree. Wenger is past his sell by date as a tactician and motivator. Arsenal need and deserve a manager with more nouse.

Piers Morgan is a snivelling pr!*k.. I’m proud to be a gooner .. but the fact that Piers Morgan supports arsenal fills me with despair… all gooners should start a petition to get Kroenke, Gazidis, Hill-Wood & the biggest c.n.u.t in the universe (aka Piers Morgan) OUT

Funny how some fans think they know more about the manager than the players who work with him. Over the years Piers has had to apologise to Arsenal fans and also to Thierry Henry whilst getting away with a lot more but this time he should wash his mouth out with arsenic. Look at his involvement in the phone tapping business and his denails and acknowledgements of it. Honestly!!! It goes to show that however badly he did his job he can publicly criticise an honest manager who is still one of the best. Wenger may be having a hard time presently to me he’s still the best man for Arsenal and he’s more of a fan than Piers Morgan will ever be. Well done Frimpong and I hope you get better soon and as for you Piers, you’ve been FRIMPONGED!!!

Morgan has been loud mouthed of recent. we all disappointed with the perfomance of our team. What Mr. Morgan need to do is to clean is house first. Sort out your phone tapping scandal then later you will be assessed whether you should go after Mr. Wenger
