Chelsea are lining up a £64m triple swoop as part of their summer rebuilding project, according to reports today.

Owner Roman Abramovich looks set to have one of his busiest summer at the Bridge, as he not only has to find a new manager to replace Andre Villas-Boas, but he will also have to oversee the revamping of his Chelsea squad in order to make them title-challengers once again.

Chelsea target Newcastle Pair

According to the Independent, Newcastle duo Cheick Tioté and Tim Krul have been identified as two key signings this summer, and the Blues are prepared to pay £30m for their services.

The report claims that Tioté has attracted interest from the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool in recent months, but Chelsea are prepared to offer Newcastle £20m for his signature.

The 25-year-old has been a revelation on Tyneside since his move from Twente in 2010 and is seen by Chelsea officials as the defensive midfielder they require to offer protection to their backline

Krul has also been one of Newcastle’s most consistent performers this season and the Independent claim Chelsea are finally ready to replace Petr Cech and see the 23-year-old Dutchman as the perfect candidate. They are confident a £10m bid will be enough to persuade Alan Pardew into selling and it would represent a huge profit on the £200,000 they spent on him in 2005.

Hulk fee agreed

The next part of Abramovich’s rebuilding project is striker Hulk, with the Telegraph reporting that the Blues have already held negotiations with Porto and successfully struck a £34m deal to sign the Brazilian this summer.

The report claims that the 25-year-old has an £85m release clause in his contract, but Chelsea have been able to agree a reduced fee due to the fact the player has personally asked to leave Portugal this summer.

They also suggest that Chelsea will attempt to partner Hulk with Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao in what will be a formidable strike force if they land the pair.
