Arsenal travel across London to face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road this afternoon looking to extend their lead over Spurs. Here are the confirmed line-ups

Arsenal travel across London to face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road this afternoon, and we have the confirmed line-ups.

The Gunners are on a seven-match winning run that has seen them leap-frog Tottenham into third place and now hold a three point advantage over their rivals. An eight win here would see them consolidate third ahead of Tottenham’s game with Swansea on Sunday.

Boss Arsene Wenger has recalled defender Laurent Koscielny, who missed last weeks win over Aston Villa, and he partners Thomas Vermaelen at the back.

Here are the confirmed line-ups

QPR Team

Kenny, Diakite, Hill, Derry, Taarabt, Mackie, Barton, Taiwo, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Zamora.

SUBS: Cerny, Gabbidon, Campbell, Bothroyd, Buzsaky, Young, Wright-Phillips.

Arsenal Team

Szczesny, Sagna, Kosielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Rosicky, Ramsey, Song, Arteta, Walcott, RVP

SUBS:  Fabianski, AOC, Djourou, Gervinho, Chamakh, Benayoun, Santos.

We’ll have video highlights from the game up shortly after the final whistle, so check back later.

And of course it would only cross a cynic’s mind that paper of the realm would be chnnaigg hands. Any suggestion that a modern footballer, especially one who plays for Chelsea, is motivated by anything other than a love for the club and a loyalty to the fans should be regarded as a slur on modern football and the ethics of the Premier League.
