[Video] Nicklas Bendtner Scores Offside Goal vs Brazil

By on May 27, 2012

Out-of-favour Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner scored a controversial goal as Denmark went down 3-1 to Brazil.

Goals from Hulk (2) and a Zimling own goal put the hosts in total control but with 20 minutes left Bendtner tapped home from close range to give Denmark slim hope of a comeback, with replays showing the Gunners striker was clearly offside. The goal stood but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Brazil held on for a 3-1 win.

Bendtner spent last season on loan at Sunderland and managed to score 8 goals in 27 league games, and the 24-year-old is expected to leave the Emirates on a permanent basis this summer.
