Chelsea and Manchester United have been boosted in their pursuit of Axel Witsel with the news that Benfica are ready to sell the midfielder this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The Belgian international moved to Benfica last summer from Standard Liege for £6.3m and had an excellent debut season, playing a pivotal role in the Portuguese side’s Champions League run to the quarter finals.
The report claims that the Lisbon club are now ready to cash in on Witsel this summer but have slapped a £20m price-tag on the players head.
talkSPORT suggest that Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has held a long standing interest in the player, while Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo is also on the look out for a combative midfielder and has been impressed by what he’s seen of Witsel.
A move to the Premier League would no doubt suit the Belgian’s aggressive style of play, but should either Chelsea or Manchester United make their interest official they may face competition from La Liga champions Real Madrid who are also said to be tracking the 23-year-old.

Chelsea’s attack is extremely WEAK,but with these four Wise-Men in Chelsea(Modric,Hulk,Moses and Maicon),Chelsea will become the most DANGEROUS TEAM in the World….Just imagine Torres,Hulk,Modric,Hazard,Mata,Ramires and Moses in Chelsea.

as it stands (marin & hazard already in) chelsea will not finish top 4 again;
needs more depth in the team!!
and indeed, mainly because chelsea has not got proper strikers
(torres might /might not be back i would not risk to go with him alone, suicidal);
cheslea is the envy of no one!!!
now they need to win the CL playing fluently!

Chelsea need Luka Modric 2 replace Lapard and a solid striker Falcao or Cavani 2 replace Drogba. With our nw boyz Hazard &Marine addition of Hulk, Moses Chelsea will be too hot next season.
