Salomon Rondon

Malaga striker Salomon Rondon could be on his way to the Premier League this summer, according to Sky Sports News.

The report claims that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in the Venezuelan striker after an excellent season in La Liga with Malaga.

Rondon joined the ambitious Spanish outfit in 2010 but has attracted interest from clubs throughout Europe after putting in some impressive displays, scoring 25 goals in 67 appearances.

Manager Manuel Luis Pellegrini has confirmed his striker has ‘substantial offers’ from clubs in England as well as Germany, but he hopes the 22-year-old will remain with the club this summer:

“Rondon has had substantial offers from both Germany and England.

“To stay here, to have time to demonstrate his worth, it has been important to Malaga and hopefully we can have him for longer.

“It is difficult to know what will happen.”

Football Talk Verdict

Arsenal are said to be drawing up a list of possible replacements for want-away striker Robin van Persie, while Chelsea are looking for a frontman to take over from Didier Drogba. New Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is also believed to be keen on strengthening his attacking options ahead of next season so all three could well be in for Rondon, as Sky Sports News suggest.

Rondon certainly has the physical presence needed to succeed in the Premier League and i think he could prove to be a decent buy, if he does come to these shores this summer.
