Arsenal have received firm bids from Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus for Robin van Persie and and will now leave their captain out of their pre-season tour of South Asia., according to the BBC.

After weeks of speculation, the BBC claims that City, United and Juve have all finally tabled offers in the region of £15m, but the Gunners are holding out for nearer £25m-£30m for their star man.

Due to the offers, manager Arsene Wenger has now decided not to take the 28-year-old striker on the clubs pre-season tour of Asia, and the rest of the squad will fly out on Saturday without the Dutchman.

There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of RVP ever since he released a statement declaring his intention not to sign a new contract at the Emirates. The player expressed doubts over the ambitions of the club following talks with Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis at the end of last season.

Wenger had initially hoped he could persuade his skipper to see out the final year of his contract but will find it difficult to hold on to the player if a suitable offer is made. However so far, none of the three interested parties have met the clubs valuation so the 30-goal striker’s future remains in the balance.
