Chelsea Transfer News: €25m German Wants Blues Move
German international Andre Schürrle has admitted he would be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea had a €25m (£19.5m) turned down by Bayer Leverkusen

German international attacker Andre Schürrle has admitted he would be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea had a €25m (£19.5m) turned down by Bayer Leverkusen, according to the Guardian.
Schürrle joined Leverkusen from Mainz only 12 months ago but has been a huge success, putting in a string of impressive performances and scoring 7 goals in his 31 appearances. This form has seen him break into the German national team set up, where he has netted 7 goals in his 16 caps so far and was involved in the European championships this summer.
The Blues have been strongly linked with a move for the winger in recent weeks and the 21-year-old has revealed he would have jumped at the chance to move to Stamford Bridge, claiming any player in the Bundesliga would be interested in joining the European champions.
“I don’t think you would find any player in the Bundesliga who would say that they would not at all be interested,”
“Chelsea would have been very interesting for me. You don’t get a chance like that very often in your life.”
Schürrle is quoted as saying by the Guardain
However, Schürrle went on to say he has to respect the clubs decision to hang on to him, as they couldn’t find a suitable replacement.
“[Director of sport] Rudi Völler has explained the reasoning to me several times,”
“They could not find a suitable replacement and I am too important to Bayer.”
Schürrle is quoted as saying by the Guardain
The Guardian report that Chelsea had a bid of €25m (£19.5m) rejected by the Germans, but Schürrle is disappointed the figures have been made public knowledge as he feels it will only increases the fans expectations of him.
“I can imagine the fans will see me with different eyes now,” he said.
“If I play two or three bad games, then it could be difficult for me.”

we dont need him we got plenty of strikers and plenty of midfielders we only need a right back otherwise many other strikers such as sturridge will want to leave chelsea

The key words are ‘need’ and ‘want’ .We need V. Moses, C. Azpilicueta, Hulk and Witsel/Fellaini not Schurrle. Chelsea wants Schurrle, they don’t need him.

Andre is a waste of cash. A play that can only manage 7 goals in 31 apps; this is outrageous. He remnds me alot of Kalou who also a winger managed 5 goals in 42 apps. Chelsea shld focus on players in the ranks of Hulk, Cavanni, Caesar n Moses a little. Better yet we should use the cash we want to spend on Andre 2 spend for moses; after moses is a lot more pacy, experienced had has a good goal record…

I believe Moses has good pace, But d goal record? I dnt tink so. He only managed six goals in d EPL last season. Sorry to say bt moses will b a waste @ d bridge with d carliber of players we have.

other clubs now see us spend thrifts that doesnt know the value for money….instead of schurrle, get Hulk or cavanni or cardozo with moses and a right-back. Just three more players are enough.

Giving Lukaku or Piazon 20 minutes of each match will force out development in either of them.. I see lukaku and piazon being the next chelsea hitmen. Playing with ur mates boost ur confidence, blending easily with them because they will grow as a team, crack jokes outside the pitch and so on.. Now imagine lukaku cracking jokes with lampard, Terry or Ashley(to an extent) the younger ones cant be free with the senior ones. Now we have players of almost the same or close age brackets, i think they will flourish together.

We dont need him but it wouldnt be a terrible buy. What we need is to wrap up this Oscar deal and get a good RB. Schurrle could be the understudy for Torres but that is what i think Sturridge is for.

Chelsea fc, it’s very easy for any calculative fans 2 identify our problem we managed our team last season 2 compete in all competition, right from the back, we need no 2 who can play in a wide role and defence, we need a creative and attacking midfilder, oscar is the answer. We need a player who can replace the man jol cole, marko marin is the best option, we need attacking striker who can control and a little bit creative. Eden hazard is the best in the position, we don’t need top class stricker let our coach decide. Do you think chelsea ave a substitute keeper. Hillario his daysis are number, thurbull the most fumble keeper on earth.

Pls we need a goal keeper, our only promising goal keeper out to a. Madrid on loan. Now if it happens that p. Chech should be injured what do u think would happen. We jst sent delac & courtoise to loan nt even thinking of any injury on chech. If it happens like den who would b shot stoper hilario or turnbul these re d most flopping shot stoppers in d whole wide world so in this area we need a goal keeper. Then at right back even b4 the exit of bosingwa we’ve been surffering in that area it’s even d arrival of cahill dat made it better when ivanovic fully rturm to his right back position bosingwa was missing some dangerous clear offs in our 18 yrd bt tnk God he’s gone bt nw we need a young talented right back who can be fast nd time d clear offs. Torres has gained form again n his scoring mentality has been restored now, with d recruitment of hazard nd marin i think torres would do fine contrary to malouda, kalou n sturidge whom would always carry d ball nstead of passing would go alone to score which bad one a toress kind of play with the 4-2-3-1 formation i think it shuld go dis way iva, cahil, tery, cole. mid: mikel/rami/miere &lmprd.
