Chelsea captain John Terry has denied an FA charge of alleged abusive and threatening behavior towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, according to Sky Sports News.

The incident occurred when Chelsea played Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on 23rd October 2011. The Blues captain was subsequently charged by police with a racially aggravated public order offence.

Terry was cleared by a jury in July of using racial obscenity’s towards Ferdinand but the FA soon hit him with a charge of their own.

The former England captain has now denied this charge and requested a personal hearing. A statement released by the FA said:

“John Terry has today [Friday 3 August 2012] denied an FA charge of using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour, which included a reference to ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race, towards Queens Park Rangers’ Anton Ferdinand.

“The Chelsea player has requested a personal hearing, the date of which will be set in due course. During this period John Terry remains available to play for England.

“The FA will make no further comment during this time.”

A date for Terry’s personal hearing will be set but the defender is still free to play for Chelsea and England while the inquiry continues.

The problem I think is with the FA, they are only being ruled over by some aimless newspaper pundits who out of jealousy or their wish for another person to lead the Three Lions in all competitions since JT is a Chelsea FC player…
I think what should be in the head of the FA is the way forward for the English senior football team and getting a better coach than Hodgson…. They should be satisfied with court ruling and allow our dear captain to focus on the incoming season that is filled with lot of competitions for CFC.. Up Blues!!!!
