Chelsea have been handed a double injury boost with the news that both John Terry and Ashley Cole are winning their race to be fit to face Queens Park Rangers this weekend, according to the Evening Standard.

The duo have been struggling with ankle injuries this week after picking up the knocks during the international break and both sat out England’s 1-1 draw with Ukraine on Tuesday night.

It was feared they would also miss out this weekends highly-anticipated London derby with QPR, but it seems Terry and Cole are both set to be fit in time after training with the rest of the Chelsea squad at Cobham on Thursday.

The pairs return is likely to further increase the tension between Chelsea and QPR as this will be the first encounter between the two rivals since Terry was found not guilty of using racist language towards Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand in the corresponding fixture last season.

Cole was also involved in the trial after being a character witness for Terry and with Ferdinand also set to feature after overcoming a shoulder injury, all eyes will be on Loftus Road this Saturday afternoon.
