A host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in signing Malaga midfielder Isco. Could the Spaniard be heading to England as early as January? Or is he set to sign a new deal and remain in Spain?

The 20-year-old has become one of Europe’s most highly-rated youngsters after an excellent debut season with La Liga outfit Malaga last year. His reputation has been enhanced further with an impressive start this season, including a double against Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League last month.

This form has alerted sever Premier League clubs and the Daily Star are reporting that Manchester United are ready to beat Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of the play-maker by launching a bid this January.

It’s claimed that United are prepared to pay £16m for Isco and that should be enough to persuade the cash-strapped Spaniards in to selling their prized asset.

So it looks like the talented midfielder is heading to these shores, right? Well, not according to talkSPORT. They claim that Malaga are set to offer Isco a bumper new pay deal that would quadruple his wages in order to fight off interest from the aforementioned Premier League clubs, as well as Manchester City who they claim are also in the running.

Isco’s new contract will also include a £32m buy-out clause to ensure if the player does look for a move, Malaga will be suitably compensated, but they report that the player is happy in La Liga and has no immediate plans to move.

So two very different reports on the future of Isco. While there are always transfer rumours  linking players with moves, there is little doubt all the Premier League big-boys will be keeping an eye on this little Spaniard, such is his quality.

As is the case with many transfers these days, the final decision will rest with the player. Malaga are trying to tie him down to a new deal mainly for the buy-out clause and the security that they can demand a huge fee for their star man.

But he’s only been on the scene for around 18 months so i can see him staying with Malaga for at least another year and developing further before he makes a big-money move.

Do you think Isco will come to the Premier League any time soon? Would you like to see him at your club? Get involved in the comments section.
