Chelsea are confident they can lure Liverpool striker Luis Suarez to Stamford Bridge if Pep Guardiola becomes manager in the summer, according to the Mirror.

Owner Roman Abramovich wants to sign Suarez AND Radamel Falcao and believes he can fulfill his dreams by installing Pep Guardiola as boss next summer.

As reported earlier today, Abramovich is ready to sack Roberto Di Matteo and wants Guardiola as his next manager. The former Barcelona boss is currently taking a year out the game but has made it clear he would be open to moving to West London and talks over his next role are due to begin in the new year.

Colombian hitman Falcao is expected to join Chelsea in January and Abramovich wants Suarez to follow him in the summer and believes that Guardiola will be key to signing the Uruguayan. Suarez’s agent is Guardiola’s brother Pere and Chelsea are keen to use the link to their advantage.

Liverpool are adamant the striker is not for sale but the Mirror suggest they may sell if they receive £50m and Chelsea are willing to pay that amount to land the former Ajax ace as long as they can find a buyer for Fernando Torres.

A strike-force of Falcao and Suarez managed by Guardiola would be a mouth-watering prospect, but can Abramovich pull it off? Only time will tell but the Mirror seem to think so.

this is utter bulls***. falcao will come, trres will be sold or benched, and RDM will stay on the bench, and rightly so.

If you can’t win then snatch your opponents best players by throwing money at them. Is anyone else sick of this?
How about if Chelsea actually trained some players? Same goes for man city and man utd and Liverpool up until a year ago.
This is why England will never win anything.

Chelski have trained there own, they just refuse to play then, but i do agree with your comments apart from Liverpool and (hate to say it) Man u, these two clubs have a long history of CLASS players coming through the youth systems and are extreamly sucessfull. to name a few:- Fowler, McManaman, Owen, Gerrard, Carragher, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham. enought said!

Johnny Boy Up until a year ago???? do you think Sterling has just popped out the woodwork? Rafa Benitez brought most of the youngsters at Liverpool 3 years ago, and there are many more to follow!

Never should go any for any 50million pound striker. Is it a curse? Abramovich Spent that same amount of money and he became an instant flop now SUAREZ, no way.

Yes I accept that Chelsea should sign Facao and Suarez on January but talking about to Sack Di Mattio that’s wickedness, for sacking a Great Man that broke Hundred years History by handing UEFA Champions League to Chelsea and make Fans to be proud of the Club like I’m now is unfair.

It will be good n sensible for chelsea to get the aformentioned players but i don’t think it will end up successfully if that DM was not sack. Cos he does not know how to pick out players. Using defender (bertran) as a winger whiles Marko Marin is rotten on the bench. The earlier he is being sach the better for chelsea’s success this season n hence forth.

Chelsea will do well but i dont believe in high price signings….use the small signings and play….why is marin on bench….? We cud convert some of these players to centre forward

Suarez to chelsea 4 £50m, not reasonably foreseeable, I’ll prefer falcao dis january, dem lukaku and sturidge to support. Nd mayb willian and a good defender. And pls let RDM play marin. He is better dan moses or betrand being used as wingers.

It’s high time chelsea learnt their lesson.Signing high profile players wo’nt win them trophy instead they will halt the progress of these players. What happen to the like of Crespo,Shevchenko,Torres and now they have falcao and suarez on their radar….well I dont see Suarez moving looking at how el nino fared @ chelsea.Come what may My tent is pitched @ liverpoolfc.YNWA.

Chelsea cannot keep buying players just because they score against them. I would like to see Chelsea swap Torres for Fellaini. Maybe Torres can find his form in the city where he had it before, and Moyes would need a replacement for Fellaini, who has says he wants to move to a bigger club.
