Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, has Robert Lewandowski agreed to join Man Utd?

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has agreed to join Manchester United at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old has become one of Europe’s most sought-after striker’s after helping Dortmund secure successive Bundesliga titles, with the hitman scoring 30 goals in 47 games last season.
The Polish international has only 18 months to run on his current contract and has so far refused to sign an extension, leading to question marks over his future. Premier League giants Manchester United were heavily linked with a move in the summer but the former Lech Poznan striker decided to stay with Dortmund.
However, the Daily Mail report today that the player has now decided he’d like a new challenge and has agreed to join the Red Devils at the end of the season, with the German outfit resigned to losing their leading marksman.
United are confident they can seal the deal for around £12m – the same amount they paid for Lewandowski’s former team-mat Shinji Kagawa in the summer.

Despite signing Robin van Persie in August, Sir Alex Ferguson is still keen to add Lewandowski to pair him with the Dutchman and Wayne Rooney in what would be one of the most devastating attacks in Europe.
Van Persie and Lewandowski with Rooney operating behind will do some serious damage next season if United do pull of his coup. But is the Daily Mail’s report accurate? Only time will tell, but the rumours are intensifying every day and a move for the Pole looks increasingly likely in the summer.

An unnecessary deal that will never materialize. It’s just another one of Daily mail’s baseless rumors. Besides, we desperately need a midfielder but I doubt we are going to buy any

Why do we need him as we have Chico and Rooney unless Fergie opts for a three and sells Rooney who hasn’t been playing well for at least 2 seasons

Listen, We need rooney, he’s a world class player and cannot be sold cuz he’s too important. He creates goal and scores for himself as well. Fergie should sell welbeck instead.

I like lewandoski but I don’t believe we need a striker as it is,the strike force is ok but let us bring in goetze or bender, james rodriguez and subotic or hummels to help in the defence.

I think we are fine in striking department, would love lewondowski, but not needed. We need a world class defender, I don’t think ferdinand is good enough anymore. Our defence was better with evans and smalling together against qpr. A solid midfielder, maybe kevin strootman or one of the bender brothers would be good aditions, and hummels for defence
