Zaha: I’m An Arsenal Fan But They Stress Me Out
Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha has confirmed he’s an Arsenal fan but claims the club is ‘stressing him out’ after watching them lose 2-1 to Olympiakos last night
Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha has confirmed he’s an Arsenal fan but claims the club is ‘stressing him out’ with their latest performances.
Zaha is one of the hottest properties in the UK after breaking into the England team set up last month and most of the Premier League big-guns have been linked. The Daily Mail are one of several media outlets who claim we’ve scouted the Crystal Palace ace extensively this season and are preparing a January bid for the young attacker.
Well the good news is the 20-year-old has confirmed he’s an Arsenal fan, which will surely go in our favour when trying to land him, but the bad news is he seems to be sharing in the frustration many Gooners are feeling at this time.
Shortly after Arsenal had surrendered a 1-0 lead to be trailing 2-1 at Olympiakos on Tuesday night, Zaha took to Twitter to air his frustrations saying:
“I swear I’m not watching Arsenal anymore”
…before saying he’s a ‘stressed out’ Arsenal fan:
Zaha also re-tweeted Mark Bright when he said:
‘Arsenal are poor. Plain and simple. Sorry @IanWright0 its so annoying watching them, used be made of steel. Now, papier mache!’
It’s good to hear one of the brightest young talents in the game is an Arsenal fan and if he’s a true Gooner, there is only one club he’ll be leaving Palace for, and it’s also nice to see he cares enough to get stressed when we play badly. We could use a bit more of that at the club right now!

Sometimes you get the feeling some of the current squad couldn’t care less when we lose. I’m sure that’s not the case but there is no question we need more ‘fight’ in the side and a proper Gooner like Zaha wouldn’t be a bad start, oh and he can play a bit too!
