Sow: Reds bid?

Liverpool have stepped up their attempts to secure their second signing of the transfer window after tabling a £10 million for Fenerbache striker Moussa Sow, according to the Metro.

The report claims Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is still keen to add another striker to his ranks this month despite the £12m acquisition of Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea last week.

The Merseysiders have been linked with a whole host of names in recent weeks and the Metro suggest Rodgers has been forced to look elsewhere after PSG refused to do business for hitman Kevin Gamiero.

His search seems to have lead him to Fenerbache forward Sow, with the newspaper claiming Liverpool have submitted a £10 million bid for the 26-year-old and are waiting to here back from the Turkish outfit to see if it’s been successful.

The powerfully built Senegal international only joined Fenerbache in January 2012 and has scored 14 goals in 28 games so far in his Super Lig career, so you’d have to question whether the Turkish giants will be ready to let him go already. And the other question would be, even if he does make the move to Anfield, where will he fit in alongside Sturridge and Suarez?

Do Liverpool fans think the club needs another striker? Or is there a more important position on the pitch that needs attention? Get involved in the comments section below.

i dont think there is any room at LFC for another striker. All we need now is a young creative midfielder and a very powerful, skillful, and as well young CB as Carra days on pitch are counting down. But for this i’d like to see mirin here.

yes, l’pool need to buy 1 stricker, 1 defencive midfielder’Gerrard type’ and a good goalkeeper. Therefore, reina should be sold to a team who needs him coz he is a liability to the team. Please BR do this otherwise forget about that top 4.

BR should stop deceiving l’pool supporters. Today ince, tomorrow sow. But he cannot even afford to buy 1 one of them. He mentioned plenty names like: huntlaar, holtby, drogba, walcott, remy, anelka…etc.but could not sign one. BR please do well this january to sign quality players. And go into the top 4. And even if you dont sign quality players and you qualify for the top 4, what players are you going to face teams like barcelona, madrid, etc?

I am almost sure BR is not deceiving anyone. It turns out that they table a price, then the other team, players, or agent make a counter offer. Also not getting to caught up in the tabloids helps.
He said it is rebuilding stage, he is focused on bringing in talent to stay at top of table to get players recognized, allow youth to play, and sell them off, to purchase a winning team. It is how every championship is made. Do not get emotional about players. Hard to say being a L.F.C fan. He has to farm players for a while.

Hi to all reds friend! Plz BR we need one/two strikes more and a CB, that wil make the team to look more powerful. As for whose that ask wheather their anyother chance for a strike? The answer is yes, their a eungh space for two strikes belive me. Plz BR dont start sturridge up front again o, start him from the right flank as he usually play during the time of AVB. Suarez on the left flank and sow on center foward. I think that wil be a good combination. Thanks because i know u wil copy my advice.. NEVER WALK ALONE..

I think the reason fsg are planning to spend 10 million on a new foreward , is that suarez is going to be sold , As thats there policy to buy and make a profit by selling , As its a franchise that they bought , And its good business they dont care about the fans , just there bulging pockets.

C’mon FSG invest more pls….tis is pathetic Only one player recruited so far. V won’t survive til summer..another midtable season. V r not asking for 100mil but just perhaps 10 or 15 m for BR to shop for couple of players.Even young talents r expensive nowadays. U gotta invest!!!
