Arsenal welcome champions Manchester City to the Emirates this afternoon for the second part of ‘Super Sunday’.

The Gunners will be looking to close the gap on the top-four and victory today will move them to within three-points of rivals Tottenham with a game in hand. City on the other hand will hope to keep pace with league leaders Man Utd who are on course to open up a ten-point gap at the top of the league as they currently lead Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford (at the time of writing).

Mikel Arteta misses the game for Arsenal after picking up a calf injury in training so Abou Diaby returns after playing for the under-21’s in midweek. Theo Walcott continues up front.

City are without Yaya Toure – who’s away at the African Cup of Nations – and Sergio Aguero – who’s out with a hamstring injury. Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Arsenal Team

Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Diaby, Wilshere, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Podolski, Walcott

Subs: Mannone, Jenkinson, Santos, Mertesacker, Ramsey, Coquelin, Giroud

Man City Team
