Chelsea must try and overturn a 2-goal deficit when they take on Swansea City tonight with Bradford City awaiting the winners in the final of the Capital One Cup.

The League 2 side continued their fairytale run in the League Cup by beating Aston Villa 4-3 on aggregate on Tuesday night to secure their place in the final , so the victors from tonight game will be red-hot favourites to lift the trophy at Wembley.

Swansea will be looking to protect the 2-0 advantage they earned with a shock win at Stamford Bridge in the first leg, with Michael Laudrup hoping to reach a major final for the first time in the clubs history.

The Swans head into the game in fine form after beating Stoke 3-1 on Saturday to lift them to ninth in the table, while Chelsea should also be in confident mood having beaten Arsenal 2-1 at the Bridge on Sunday and Rafa Benitez is upbeat on his sides chances of turning the tie around.

Team News

Swansea have been boosted by the return of centre-back Chico Flores after he recovered from a knee injury and should start along side captain Ashley Williams at the back.

Gerhard Tremmel is expected to return in goal after playing in all previous rounds of the competition but midfielder Kemy Agustien is out with an ankle injury.

Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez is expected to recall fit again captain John Terry with the defender set to start his first game in over two months. Terry injured his knee against Liverpool back in November but is now fully fit and likely to play alongside Gary Cahill at the back tonight with Branislav Ivanovic moved to right back.

David Luiz is once again likely to miss out after an ankle injury ruled him out of Sunday’s 2-1 win over Arsenal, and Benitez is expected to opt for Demba Ba ahead of Fernando Torres up front.

John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses are both missing as they’re away on international duty with Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations, and Oriol Romeu remains out injured.

Predicted Score

Tonight’s game promises to be an intriguing affair that pits Chelsea’s excellent away record against Swansea’s strong home record. The Blues have won their previous six games on the road in all competitions but the Swans have only lost twice on home soil this season. But I’ve just got the feeling Chelsea are going to turn this around and book their place in the final, but only on the away goals rule. Swansea 1-3 Chelsea
