Arsenal may be about to cut their loses with Ivory Coast forward Gervinho with the Express reporting that Turkish giants Galatasaray are preparing a £12m summer bid.

Gervinho earned himself a £10.8m move to the Emirates in 2011 following a stunning season in Ligue 1 when the Ivorian scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in 35 games to lead Lille to the title.

However, he’s struggled to replicate that form in the Premier League and has been largely disappointing in an Arsenal shirt, managing just 8 league goals during his two years in north London.

The 25-year-old is no longer regarded as a first team regular in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven and the Express claim we’ll listen to offers for him this summer with Galatasaray said to be keen to offer him an escape route to Turkey this summer and are prepared to pay us £12m for his services.

Personally, I would bite their hands off! Gervinho is a hugely frustrating player to have in the side. He seems to get himself into promising positions only for his touch or final ball to let him down. I think it’s clear he isn’t going to make it at Arsenal and if we can make a small profit on him, I think it’s a no-brainer to sell if Galatasaray come in with a £12m bid.
