Tottenham travel to Wales to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news and predicted score for the game.

Liberty Stadium Swansea

Premier League action gets back underway this weekend after the two-week international break and Tottenham travel to Wales to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs head into the game clinging on to fourth spot after back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Fulham ended their 12-match unbeaten run. Rivals Arsenal have taken full advantage and are now just four points adrift with a game in hand so Andre Villas-Boas knows it’s vital his men get back to winning ways this weekend.

The north Londoners face the Capital One Cup winners but Michael Laudrup’s side have also been struggling of late, losing four of their last six games and went down 2-0 to Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal last time out.

Despite their poor recent form, the Swans remain in ninth position in the table and are already guaranteed a place in Europe next season so they have very little left to play for this season other than trying to finish the campaign as strongly as possible.

Team News

Laudrup has been handed a major boost ahead of the game with the news that centre-back Chico Flores is fit to return to the starting eleven after seven weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury. The Spaniard is likely to come straight back in to play alongside Ashley Williams at the back.

Kemy Agustien is expected to remain out while defender Neil Taylor continues to recover from a broken ankle.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas will be able to call upon the services of Gareth Bale despite the winger suffering from an ankle problem and illness during the international break.

Aaron Lennon missed England’s World Cup double header with a hamstring injury but has trained this week and is likely to start, while defender Michael Dawson has also been back in training after his own hamstring problem and should take his place alongside Jan Vertonghen at the back.

Defender Younes Kaboul is working his way back to fitness following a serious knee injury and has returned to light training, but is still two weeks away from being in contention. Sandro will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Predicted Score

All eyes will no doubt be on Gareth Bale again with the Welshman scoring 12 in his last 13 games but Tottenham’s recent slump will be a worry for AVB, particularly the home loss to Fulham and the Londoners can’t keep relying on Bale to ‘Bale’ them out. We can see Swansea holding them to a draw this weekend. Swansea 1-1 Tottenham
