Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, two Arsenal linked with two replacements for Bacary Sagna.

Sagna: On his way out?
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is already preparing for life without right-back Bacary Sagna as PSG line up an £8m bid for the French defender, according to the Sun.
The 30-year-old has just over a year remaining on his current contract at the Emirates and and the report claims talks are stalling over an extension, with the Gunners said to be sticking to their policy of only offering players over 30 one-year deals.
The Sun claims Sagna will be off this summer with Paris Saint-Germain set to bid £8m for defender and believe Wenger has identified 22-year-old Sochaux full-back Sebastien Corchia as the ideal replacement.
However, while the Mirror agree that Sagna will leave north London at the end of the season they suggest Arsenal are in fact keeping tabs on Feyenoord’s Daryl Janmaat and understand the 23-year-old could be the man to replace the experience Frenchman this summer.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Sagna’s and believe he’s been one of our most consistent players over the past few years (when fit), so I’ll be sad to see him go if he does leave this summer. But we have an able deputy in young Carl Jenkinson, who has come on leaps and bounds in recent months, so if Arsene does bring in either Corchia or Janmaat they better be ready to fight for the right-back jersey.
Will you be sad to see Sagna leave this summer? Do you think Jenkinson has what it takes to be first choice next season? Get involved in the comments section below.

I think 8m for sagna is a good deal for a player of his age considering his form since 2 recent leg breaks. I would prefer to see a player with a bit more experience than jenkinson jamnatt or coricha and preferably one with prem league experience or at least experience un the other top leagues of spain germany or italy. For me we need 2 more defenders even if sagna does not leave. We need another cb to replace djourou and I would like to see a versatile defender added too one like sagna who can play all across the back. In fact why not sign an rb and have sagna as the versatile player if the 8m offer is not forthcoming. Perhaps a swap deal for van der weil could be another possibility?

i would like to keep sagna as i think he is a world class defender not only in right back.the only reason that i think he might be being let go is because of an
ongoing injury that we are not told about.
his experiance is important in our team
and think he is on a par with cashley in his position.A top player

Release Fabianski? Really.
You dont release in-form players- that’s stupid.
Dont agree with Rosicky being on sale. He’s a great squad player with an excellent control and vision that the jnrs can learn from.
Plus your estimation on Sakho is shy about 10m.
Other than that though and I’d say that about sums it up

I still want Sagna at the Emirates. We dont need another RB,Sagna and Jerkinson are okay for me.Jerkinson just needs another year of experience and confidence. In addition,i think Jerkinson needs to be pushing the ball forward, his back passing habit is becoming too much.

We need another right back. Sagna is becoming slow and prone to mistakes. If we can’t get a good CB, move him there. RBs need energy which Sagna no more has.

Sagna is still vital to us but still we need two defenders; a rb and a cb, holding midfielder(capoe, gonalons or song) a world class striker(jovetic, burak or higuain). This will help us compete 4 silver next season.

keep Afobe, hes english. he might not be superb now, but that rugged striker role since wiltordor wrighty, havent been filled.keep flappy except he wants to go, DONT BUY GOETZE, we cant buy all the best players in europe. with wilshere, eisfeld, ramsey and gnabry, we are good.sagna? leave him, sell him at 32 and give jerks the starting spot and bellerin deputize, leave disby and rosicky. diaby can be a RVP except he wont leave like him.am not sure about wellington, but hes VERY good. if only he could be in england. WENGER will turn him around.sakho will never leave PSG hes there wilshere kinda player, a true PSG boy thick and thin. i will go for ogbona in torino or oboanoba of nigeria, willing to learn and they will grow and hold the first spot with iggy and angha and co coming up….buy begovic only if flappy has to leave.
