Tottenham Hotspur take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night for a crucial clash that could determine if they finish in the top-four this season.

Spurs currently sit fifth in the table, three points behind third-placed Chelsea and two behind fourth-placed Arsenal – although the Gunners have played a game more – so victory at the Bridge on Wednesday would move the north Londoners level on points with the Blues and above Arsenal into fourth.

Ahead of the game boss Andre Villas-Boas has given TottenhamHotspur.com a team news an injury update with the latest on Mousa Dembele, Aaron Lennon and Jake Livermore’s fitness.

Midfielder Dembele missed Saturday’s 1-0 win over Southampton through injury while winger Lennon was substituted after an hour with a tight muscle problem, but AVB has confirmed the duo are in the squad and in contention to face Chelsea on Wednesday.

There is also good news on Livermore with the midfielder fit again, meaning the only players currently unavailable to Villas-Boas are Sandro, William Gallas and Younes Kaboul. AVB told the clubs official website:

“Mousa and Aaron will be selected, whether or not they will be available is something we prefer to hold onto and let people know when we get there,”

“They had discomfort and tightness against Southampton and we decided not to risk them.

“As we took that decision, it means they are still in the frame for making this game.

“We have one player recovered, Jake Livermore, and three players out – Sandro, Gallas and Kaboul.”
